East Coast Aero Club has been contracted by the owner to sell N3500F. If anyone is interested in purchasing a well maintained Skylane please contact Mark Holzwarth or Adam Harris. The club is offering a $5000 maintenance labor credit to anyone who purchases it and continues to lease it back to us.

Youngest Helicopter Grad to Attend US Air Force Academy - Fri May 30

East Coast Aero Club congratulates Colleen Haggerty on her private helicopter license (trained by instructors Paul Cantrell and Philip Greenspun). At 18, Colleen is the youngest person yet to complete their helicopter license at East Coast and is committed to a future in aviation. This summer she will depart her hometown of Millis, Massachusetts to attend the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

ECAC welcomes new helicopter instructor - Fri Apr 04

ECAC is pleased to welcome helicopter flight instructor David Smith to the staff. Originally from Washington state, David trained at Classic Helicopter Corporation in Seattle. With unbridled enthusiasm for helicopters, he has experience in both flight instruction and aerial photography. He is available full-time for flight instruction in the Robinson R22 helicopter.

Beechcraft Baron Training - Sun Mar 30

ECAC Bedford now offers Beechcraft Baron B55 and B58 Training. This training is excellent for someone purchasing a larger twin. We can also do refresher training and insurance checkouts. Baron time can also be a cost effective way to build multi-time if you are purchasing a VLJ. The time will directly translate into insurance savings. Contact Mark Holzwarth for details and pricing.

New Procedure for Grounded Aircraft After Hours - Sat Feb 02

We have a new procedure for any pilot returning after hours with a grounded aircraft in Bedford. Please remove the keys from the binder and put them in the locking key slot next to the office door. The binder then goes in the slot in the bottom of the briefing room door as usual. Please ask anyone working the desk to show you if you are unsure. This measure is to ensure an unairworthy aircraft is not dispatched to the next customer prior to maintenance checking it out.

Four Garmin Equipped Warriors III's Coming to BED - Sun Oct 14

ECAC has recently purchased 4 Garmin 430 equipped 2000 model year Warrior III’s to upgrade the fleet. They will be coming by November 1st from UND to Bedford. They are on the schedule and will be released for rental after maintenance checks them out. The rate will be $125 per hour. Thank you to all who expressed interest in the ferry flights.
